Bunny hat and little carrot

 

Materials:

- 4 or 5 different cotton colors

- 2 mm or 2,25 mm crochet hook

- 1 tapestry needle

- 1 pair of scissors

- A small amount of polyester toy stuffing

Stitches and abbreviations: 

ch (chain stitch), slst (slip stitch)

sc (single crochet)

dc (double crochet)

Making the hat: (in ecru cotton). Crocheted from top to bottom. 

Rd 1:6 sc in magic ring (6)

Rd 2:6 inc (12)

Rd 3:1 sc, 1 inc* x6 (18)

Rd 4: "2 sc, 1 inc* x6 (24)

Rd 5:3 sc, 1 inc" x6 (30) 

Rd 6:4 sc, 1 inc* x6 (36) 

Rds 7-8:36 sc, 2 rounds (36) 

Rd 9: 5 sc, 1 inc* x6 (42)

Rds 10-13 42 sc, 4 rounds (42)

Rd 14: *12 sc, 1 dec* x3 (39)

Rd 15: *1 sist, 2 hdc* in the next st, to repeat all around.

Finish with 1slst. Leave a long tail to sew the hat onto the head.

The ears: (of the same color as the hat)

Rd 1: 7 sc in magic ring (7)

Rd 2: 7 sc (7)

Rd 3: 7 inc (14)

Rds 4-9: 14 sc, 6 rounds (14)

Rd 10: *1 sc, 1 dec* x4, 2 sc (10)

Rd 11: 10 sc (10)

Pinch the bottom of the ear and close the opening with 4 sc by crocheting in both layers. Fold the base to shape the ears before sewing them to the top of the hat.

Small flowers: (in light yellow and white)

With the yellow thread, crochet in a magic ring: *ch 2, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 sist* x5 to form 5 petals.

Tighten the threads and tie them together before sewing the flowers onto the border of the hat.

With a small amount of white thread, make a double knot and fix it in the heart of the flower.

The carrot: (in orange and green)

Rd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Rd 2:6 inc (12)

Rds 3-6: 12 sc, 4 rounds (12)

Rd 7: *2 sc, 1 dec x3 (9)

Rd 8:9 sc (9)

Rd 9: *1 sc, 1 dec* x3 (6)

Rd 10: 1 dec, 4 sc (5)

Stuff lightly. Keep a length of yarn to close the opening with a needle.

The leaves: Make a chain 6 and crochet 5 sist along the chain. 

Without cutting the thread, repeat the operation 2 more times. 

Keep a length of yarn to sew them on the top of the carrot by pinching the base of the leaves.

The doll's collar: (in white)

Crocheted into the front loop of the round 14 of the body.

Crochet 1 sc, 1 inc* x 7 (21).

Then *1 sist, 3 hdc in the same stitch* x10.

Fasten off and hide the remaining yarn tail.
