Pascal the Easter chick crochet pattern



This little chick decided to dress up for Easter. You will find here the pattern of the chick and its 6 outfits.

Abbreviations

(US/French)

Rnd: round/tour

MR: magic ring/ cercle magique 

ch: chain/chaînette 

sl st slip stich/maille coulée 

sc: single crochet/maille serrée 

inc: increase / augmentation 

dec: decrease / diminution 

hdc half double crochet/ demi-bride

Materials

Cotton ricorumi: yellow (063), orange (024), pink (065), brown (052), white (001), red (028), green (047)

Crochet hook : 3mm

6mm safety eyes. You may need to use smaller/larger eyes, depending hook/yarn size.

Yarn needle: Black embroidery thread Fiblerfill for stuffing

Scissors

Size with the materials above will be about 10cm

Sew the beck between Rnds 11 and 14 and embroider the eyes with white yarn and cheeks with pink one.

Head's feathers

Make 3 pieces as follow (fasten off 1st and 2nd piece, but don't cut the 3rd piece. They will be joined 
together after)

Now join the 3rd piece to the 2nd piece with 1sc, continue 2sc, then join the 1st piece with 1 sc, 
continue 14 sc all around [18]

Sew crest to the head.

Tail

In brown.

Same pattern as chick's wing.



Sew the tail to the back of the body.

Make 2 pink and 2 brown pieces.

Rnd 1: Make a foundation chain of 10 ch. Start in the 2nd stitch from hook: 2 slst, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, (3 
dc, 3 tr, 3 dc into the last stitch). Work on along the other side, into the remaining loops of the 
foundation chain: 2 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, 2 slst

At the end of Rnd 1, do not fasten off (for brown pieces). We will now crochet the inner and outer ears 
together. Place the backs of the inner and outer ears together.

Rnd 2: Continuing from the end of Rnd 2 of the outer ear: 10 sc, 3 inc, 11 sc

Sew the ears to the head.

Tail

Make 2 pink and 2 white pieces.

Rnd 1: (2 sc, 2 hdc, 4 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc) into a magic loop [1]

At the end of Rnd 1, do not fasten off (for white pieces). We will now crochet the inner and outer ears together. Place the backs of the inner and outer ears together.

Rnd 2: Continuing from the end of Rnd 2 of the outer ear: 12 sc [12]

Sew the ears on the side of the head.

Bee

Head

Start in brown.

Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc [6]

Sew the wings to the back of the body. 

Antennas (x2)

In brown.

Ch 9,1 sc in the second stitch, 1 sc, 6 sl st [8]

Sew the antennas on the top of the head.
